Pedicure salon · Biloxi, Mississippi

An hour for your feet, start to finish.

Paraffin is a pedicure salon on Pass Road with five technicians and a row of soak basins by the window. Come in with sandy sandals or come in every month; the ritual is the same.

A client's feet soak in a glass bowl of water and petals while a technician's hands rest at its rim, a folded grey towel beside it

The ritual

Six steps, each with its time

The full Paraffin pedicure runs about seventy minutes. Every step is yours to keep, shorten or skip.

  1. 01
    10 min

    Step 1: Soak

Warm water in a clean basin, a pinch of salt, and a minute to put your phone down. Your technician looks at your feet before anything starts.

  2. 02
    10 min

    Step 2: Shape

Nails are clipped and shaped to the length you pick, and cuticles are softened and pushed back.

  3. 03
    10 min

    Step 3: File

A foot file and a pumice stone smooth heels and rough spots, then the basin is drained and you are towel-dried.

  4. 04
    15 min

    Step 4: Massage

Warm towels, lotion and a slow massage of your feet and lower legs. Say where you want more time and where to stay light.

  5. 05
    10 min

    Step 5: Warm paraffin

Feet are dipped in warm paraffin and wrapped in a towel while you sit. Skip it if you would rather go straight to color.

  6. 06
    15 min

    Step 6: Polish

A color, a clear coat or gel polish cured under the lamp. Polish needs time to set, so bring open shoes for the walk to your car.

Before you book

Check with your doctor first

A pedicure is not right for every foot. If any of these apply, ask your doctor before you book, and tell us when you do.

Tools and basins

Clean tools, laid out before you sit

What we use on you is set out where you can see it.

Metal tools are cleaned and disinfected between clients, and every client gets a new file and buffer. Basins are scrubbed and refilled before the next soak. Ask us anything about how we do it.

  • A new file and buffer for each client

Walk-ins welcome when a basin is open; booked clients keep their time.

Before your first pedicure

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, when a basin is open. A booked time is always held, so a walk-in may wait if the row is full, and we text you when your chair is ready.

How long does a pedicure take?

The full Paraffin pedicure is about seventy minutes. A classic is about forty-five, and gel adds time under the lamp. Every service on the menu shows its time.

What is the paraffin step?

Feet are dipped in warm paraffin, wrapped in a towel and left to rest for about ten minutes. It is optional; say so at the start if you would rather skip it.

What should I tell you before a pedicure?

Tell us if you have a cut, a wound, swelling or an infection on your foot, or if you have diabetes. We may ask you to see your doctor first. Tell us too if a nail product has ever bothered you.

How does pricing work?

Each service has a time and a price that show when you book. The price turns on the service, regular or gel polish and any add-ons. How pricing works explains it.

Does anyone speak Vietnamese?

Yes. Truc, Thom, Hang, Mi and Phong all speak Vietnamese and English.
